About Marie
With 25 years’ experience working in magazines and digital publishing, Marie is a respected fashion and lifestyle writer. She is a regular contributor to The Irish Times, Sunday Independent and Irish Tatler, and previously held the positions of fashion director at IMAGE Media and features editor of The Gloss Magazine.
Since pursuing a freelance career in 2020, Marie has taken her talent for storytelling and used it to assist design houses and organisations in building their brand voice and framing their stories in a way that truly connects with their community of customers. From website copy and blog posts to newsletters, press releases and product descriptions, Marie collaborates closely with each client to understand their unique messaging and deliver inspiring copy that’s targeted and effective.
Over the past several years, Marie has also proven herself to be a skilled events MC, working with organisations such as IMMA and IMAGE Media, as well as brands including Kildare Village, Dundrum Town Centre and DKNY. From 2017 to 2019, she also co-hosted Ireland’s first fashion podcast, Smart Casual.
Marie holds a BA and MA in English and a first class honours MA in History of Art. She was one of two runners-up in the 2023 Sarah Cecilia Harrison Essay Prize awarded by the National Gallery of Ireland for the best new writing and research on women in the visual arts in Ireland.
